Something over nothing

Finding quiet time with energy left to focus is hard to come by for me. I may not have the time I wish I could dedicate to this adventure right now. But one thing I am trying to promise myself is I will write something every day. Even if it is just a quote I can hear one of my characters saying.

I have managed to type up the small amount of writing I did in my journal and add a few more paragraphs.

And thank you S for reminding me that a short story is only the beginning of a long one.

An official start

So it is official I have two pages hand written.The main character has been named, although that could change. I am developing three other characters in my head. I have a location for where most of the story will take place.

I am not clear exactly on what type of super natural beings will show face in this story. Some of their super natural attributes are starting to take light in my head.

I have some anxiety with regards to how much of a story I will be able to write. I hope that I can achieve book length and not just a short story.

At some point in the near future I will have to start establishing some writing goals.

First blog, first book, first public adventure....

Well, here I am. Ready to make a commitment to this process. I thought that maybe starting a blog will help me to guide my journey and be able to share it with other writers. I have always enjoyed writing, but it has been more in the form of poetry and journaling. If only I didn't freak out one day and dump all my journals in a dumpster from when I was in high school. That would have been some interesting reading.

I have always loved paranormal and fantasy based books, shows, and movies. So this is where my inspirations will come from.

So after being inspired by my new love of reading on my Kindle and finding some inspirational Indie authors I have decided to dip my toes in the deep end. Of course I am hoping to will fall in or someone will give me a good push.

I am not really sure how this process should or could go so I am going to wing it. I am trying to fight past my uncertainties and just start writing. I also don't know much about blogging but what the heck...Wish me luck and stay tuned.
